It's inconsistent to be in fundamental opposition to the existing police and not be pro revolution.

I am all for a healthy skepticism towards the police, but I acknowledge that police, just like the military is a necessity and as long as we don't have a better police, we need to deal with the current one.

I’m currently paying them $11.90 a month to host my homeserver on their EMS platform.

My payment in April will have been the last.

It’s one thing to provide FLOSS comms to the government. It’s another to proudly support our fucked up police system.

@scy I would never claim to be "holistic" about anything, but I honestly don't see, why I should prefer the police using MS Teams or Slack instead.

@scy but they don't talk about intercepting their service, matrix is providing infrastructure for the police and literally the whole french state and I fail to see anything wrong with that.
I want those institutions to run matrix and for 90% of society being trusted by the police is something to brag about.

    So eine #BR412 oder umgangssprachlich #ICE4 kann ja mehr als das Vmax laut Datenblatt sagt wenn es um das Verspätung aufholen geht ~270km/h bei Verspätung sonst max 250 km/h

    @Jay16K wie schnell ein ICE4 fahren kann ist nicht ganz so einfach. Teil der Frage ist, wie lang dein Zug ist. Und aus rechtlichen Gründen sind die 250 eigentlich 249km/h

    @Jay16K ah, ganz lang. Ja die 12 bzw 13 teiligen schaffen je nach Angabe jetzt 270 oder 265km/h, die 7 teiligen dürfen nach wie vor nur 249km/h fahren, soweit ich weiß, was halt bedeutet, dass dieses Züge 0,0 Reserven haben um Verspätungen aufzuholen

    @Diogenes also, 250km/h sind in der Zulassung bei Zügen eine der magischen TSI Grenzen und darüber gelten zusätzliche Regeln. Die relative Bremsleistung der 7-teiligen ist vermutlich tatsächlich am niedrigsten, da das die einzige Variante mit weniger als 50% angetriebenen Wägen ist. Und soweit ich es verstehe geht es sowohl um Bremsleistung als auch um Redundanzfaktor in den Bremssystemen. Und ich weiß nicht, ob die 7 teiligen die Achslagerüberwachung haben die TSI-1 vorschreibt.

    @Diogenes grundsätzlich merkt man den ICE4s halt an, dass sie eine ökonomische Lösung sein sollten und nicht das "high-end" darstelllen
