That feel when you go out of your way to supply somebody with a high quality GeoPDF map for a hike they're planning, and they send out another PDF document with poor-quality screenshots of your map with digital scribbles all over it. 😭

I'm thinking of heading to @NorthBayPython and @conservancy #FOSSY in late June through early August. Anybody interested in subletting my Moonee Ponds apartment while I'm gone if I can swing that? Has on-site pool and gym, and is very central, surrounded by shops and restaurants. (It’s a lovely apartment and area, but rent is $650/w!)

It's beyond me that not only do the CFA IT Team get away with taking a system offline for FIVE DAYS to perform an upgrade, but they also seem to think this is an acceptable time-frame.

If I ever told an employers that I would be taking a key system offline for that long to do an upgrade, there would have been some serious discussions about my abilities. I'd be fucking ashamed too.

It's gross incompetence at this point really.

Dammit, has the Mastodon app for iOS always been missing the ability to post "unlisted"? (I've only recently started using it because it's one of the few free iOS apps I've found. I usually use Elk, but thought the app might've been easier to post the previous couple of media files, except it posted them Followers Only!)

In principle, I support the use of #OAuth2 for #IMAP/#SMTP authentication; I just wish it didn't make it so much harder to use my preferred mail clients for corporate #email accounts because each client's OAuth2 app key needs to be approved by the sysadmin.

Currently cranky that I can't use Mutt with a couple of O365 accounts, and wondering if I can do something sneaky like rip OAuth2 keys out of Thunderbird or something.
