Probably rainy Saturday 5/18, but like a 1/4 inch - highs in the upper 60s Friday, upper 50s Saturday & Sunday. Pack a poncho and/or the goretex, and don't forget your daytime SPF, despite the cloudy forecast.

Through Sunday, its Shows out in (kinda Between and , at least a 70 minute drive from depending on the 'pike).

They have everything, not just antiques, across huge grass fields. If you like haggling with vendors and unique goods. The May sale is usually the best of the year as vendors unload their winter finds.

Dear reader, if you've found this or past weekend threads useful, holler - especially if you end up at one of these events.

I curate these weekly threads, exclusively here for the fediverse. I'd like this subset of the fedi to grow beyond ~12 bostonians shouting about how much we love bikes.

Boosts, sharing local-ish events you're interested in, and tagging posts with help to that end, and likes just make me feel seen (which keeps me motivated to spend time on this entirely non-commercial project).

Be well and have fun out there, ! โœŒ๏ธ ( 14/x)

This needs its own post.
First off, Iโ€™d love to explore it, especially the very top. But what is up with the windows?? The center jumble on second floor to start, but even the far right windows on 1st, 2nd, 3rd floor all have different spacing. Middle decks are staggered, in fact the whole middle โ€œshaftโ€ seems like an add-on. The left/right 3rd story roofs donโ€™t match, other than the slate.

โญ๏ธ8 stars, keep people guessing!

@jerzone Speculation: People make exceptional choices when there's floor mounted steam radiators in the way.

@ted @jerzone i did an image search and found some detail - 8 apartment units in that place! https://www.pelletiergroup.com/listing/4625536/879-881-main-street-hopkinton-nh-03229/

Porchfest is today, but nobody in my area has started yet. Very quiet afternoon.

knizer,
@knizer@toot.boston avatar

@Craigp is a noon start west somerville, 2pm mid, 4pm start in east You walk east and then itโ€™s dinner time. Set times are staggered by location so people arenโ€™t racing across town to make a band.

knizer,
@knizer@toot.boston avatar

@Craigp hopefully there's a band near you that you like, here's the map with start times, enjoy the day! https://porchfest.somervilleartscouncil.org/

I kinda miss the days when there were non-pornographic sex-centric games. For example, the old Leisure Suit Larrys.

It seems like these days if there's any sexuality in a game, it's either full-on porn or flat cheesecake.

I guess that's probably due to our puritanical market.

knizer,

@Craigp Have you played dating sims, especially silly ones like or ?

Using the dryer rather than...just hanging things up is a not-eco-friendly American addiction, and I appreciate a well-built drying rack.

I saw a house in St Johnsbury, with 4x of these wall mounted rotary clothes airers on their porches and thought they were a great idea, and finally found the right search terms today for a source.

These should be everywhere in and - with all our high-density triple deckers.

what do you all think about the state of news visibility here on mastodon?

https://mastodon.social/@MediaOnMastodon@toot.io/112316173190323025

knizer,

@gbhnews 's fediverse news visibility is massively improved by your consistently showing up. As a 'social space', we're still figuring out how things should work.

Your efforts to lead are noticed and appreciated.
