Is it possible to create audio recorder kind of web apps using #htmx ?

What's your focus phrase for 2024?

Mine: "Snowball, not slot-machines"

Comes from @mijustin 's article.

srijit, to india

The presence of Indians, from India, in Fediverse is insignificant as on today. Most of us are happy with X and social media tools from Meta. Even the number of posts from existing users, in India, is very low though many of them seem to be active in the above mentioned social media sites.

What can be done to improve the situation? There are no carrots here.

@nemo @srijit @mastodonindians This year I used Mastodon a lot and in fact for few months didn’t touch Twitter.

But whenever natural calamity strikes (earthquake in North India), there is zero info here, while X has up to date information.

Can that be changed?

Not just India. As Tyler Cowen says Twitter is where all actions are reported (and happening).

Has anyone used ? Purports to be a secure, open source, local-first alternative to and . Mac, Linux, Windows, iOS and Android clients.

They give you 1Gb of free synced remote storage, but you have unlimited storage via secure P2P syncing.

@dhrystone I tried anytype. Too much learning curve. If you are keen on aesthetics, open source, and encryption go for it. If you want to get things done stay with #obsidian or a text based PKM.

I should take a break from whining about #ActivityPub to crow about my big breakthrough. Today, I successfully sent my first messages and replies between #Emissary and #Mastodon. And all it required was a complete overhaul the custom ActivityPub outbox.

It’s a small step forward, but a huge milestone for me. Hopefully, it will translate to big wins for other devs who can use my #Golang libraries in the future.

@benpate congrats. But what is emissary?

    @gotofritz Interesting.

Which region is this? (I am in India).

Do I infer that most go devs have moved to rust (or something else)?

    Gin vs. Fiber vs. Echo?
    What say you?

@louis why you choose Gin? I have started playing with fiber. I don’t see much difference.

#til I tried few ios #mastodon clients like toot etc. They work only with Mastodon instances. Not with mastodon implementation like @gotosocial

    But #metatext works with #gotosocial

    I find it but strange.
