@penfount sailor profit jr x! I have trouble with the fude nibs but I’ve found I can use lighter ink to sort of color in doodles, accent headers, etc. my handwriting will either be fantastic or be abysmal, there is no in between.

There's yet to be a ink that I don't find interesting, especially in the "stellar/physical phenomena" series—Dark Energy and Quasar are bangers for example.

They’re not all practical (like Butterfly Nebula from a couple days ago is almost unusable as a normal ink) but there’s always something cool about them. And lots of them are the kind of high contrast writing inks I prefer.

@paradoxmo have you seen the gluon ink? It’s pickle green with a shimmer that’s in between rose gold and copper. It’s very neat.

Two new things to play with!

I already had the hocoro that came with dip ink but the fude nib it came with was a little hard for me to use.

And this new twsbi makes me think of white mocha hot chocolate for some reason and that makes me happy.

Personal #Inkvent day 6
Montblanc Lavender Purple

This ink is a nice shading purple and it shows off its properties best when writing in quick strokes; if you write slowly, it will put down more ink and won’t shade.

Also my first outing with the PenBBS calligraphy no. 4. It’s a very nice nib that has the blade grind but somewhat rounded, making it easy to write with but with less line variation.

@paradoxmo @timdesuyo yeah that was the idea. Just taking photos of swatches and samples that look halfway presentable, capturing the shimmer and shading, stuff like that.

@penfount so that's gonna be the lovely pilot plumix I received... And hot take, PILOT NEEDS TO MAKE A DECENT CONVERTER.

I know it probably is a marketing thing so people will lean toward just using the proprietary cartridges… but still. The squeezed thing they sent with my metro was laughable.

@penfount kaweco sport, medium nib, with diamine lilac night cartridge. Not very fun but it’s the purse pen for when I need sign for things or do paperwork. The ink is a very blue purple so it slides for professional things.

@penfount I set a monthly budget for goodies and it’s in my goodies budget. Once I have my cart together, I shop my stash to make sure I don’t already have similar ink colors or a pen of similar that I have and didn’t like.
