Wow that was fast. The app was pulled from the play store because some of the screenshots I submitted contained Reddit’s logo. I think this broke ToS. I removed those screenshots and resubmitted. Hopefully the app will be added back soonish. In the meantime, I’m going to upload the APK somewhere and share that in case anyone wanted to use the app.

Oh yeah, I just found a bug with upvoting :(. I'll try to do a quick release in a bit.

What’s the “Goto” thing? “Enter reddit link”?

Goto was a debug option that was supposed to be hidden in the release build. But I must have messed something up LOL.

is there a way to view my subbed communities as a feed

Not at the moment. Implementing the community tracker (left pane) will likely be the next thing I work on.

where is the list of communities in my sidebar pulled from?

This is just a list of the biggest communities.

An update with the fix has been submitted to the play store. It should become available in 30 - 60 minutes.

Hmm that is odd. All of my test accounds are on the lemmy.world instance but I haven't encountered any issues. I can try looking more into it. Can you double check there is no mispelling with the instance name (lemmy.world) or the user name?

Thank you!

The work is pretty manageable at the moment so I should be ok. Thank you for the offer!

That was one of the inspirations. Thanks!

Subscriptions will be added in a future version. This was a very barebone release just to get early feedback test for bugs.

Unfortunately it is unlikely that I will open source this project but we shall see. I respect the open source community, I just historically have enjoyed working close source more.

Yeah it turned out pretty good for 1 week worth of work while working a full time job. Now to keep this up for at least another month :D

I have no idea. You can try to see if you can sign in. I assume kbin and lemmy's APIs differ so I would say no, but I've not tested anything.

tl;dr is everything is WIP. At the moment no feature is “off limits”. I’m just trying to crank out as much as I can as fast as I can. I’ll make a post about the current priority list on lemmy.world/c/summit later today.

tl;dr is everything is WIP. The goal is that you will be able to do everything and more that you can from the website within the app. I’ll make a post about the current priority list on https://lemmy.world/c/summit later today.

That makes sense. Can you post close sourced apps on fdroid? If so I can definitely post the app there. I just don't want to make the open source decision rn.

I'm working on an Android app as well at the moment. Will also be trying to get a basic release out later this month.
