Shift-space not working in Emacs

A while ago I noticed that shift space no longer seemed to scroll backwards in pdf-view-mode (nor any other mode where it would make sense). I could swear it used to work fine, and it even works on my windows machine. However I've now tried emacs 28 & 29 (my own config and -q in GNOME, a terminal emulator with --nw and a tty and...

elb,

Shift+SPC is not able to be represented on a TTY, due to the way that input is encoded. It should be possible in X11, but my Emacs also does not seem to register it.

elb,

I have a set of GPIO boards for my PDP-11s, I've been wanting to turn one of them into a G-code interpreter.

elb,

It is, but it was reset (again) relatively recently. You may need to contact membership@ to get access.

elb,

I've seen chatter on Mastodon that kbin will view lemmy communities, but lemmy doesn't correctly view kbin magazines. I don't know if it's accurate or not. I have been able to join lemmy communities on other servers, however.

Note that you enter the URL as !community@host.

elb,

Keep in mind that this lemmy instance is currently "in beta", and sdf betas have in the past been reset for various reasons. The sdf mastodon services are very stable, as is its peertube, but since the lemmy server is very new I would treat it as potentially volatile for a bit longer.

elb,

It looks like there is lemmy.ml/c/emacs, which I was unable to discover using the search bar on my instance.

elb,

Yes, with the link direct it works, but searching for terms such as "emacs" and "elisp" it did not show up. Lemmy does not seem (as far as I can tell, so far) to federate things like hashtags, which is how Mastodon finds things like this. At the very least, it feels like it should be federating community names!
