I'm sure some #AI features will be helpful, but after the last few keynotes, it's far too clinical and reactionary compared to the events I used to watch in the early-2000s.

@craiggrannell I get why Folium is having issues, but they must have known about Provenance and others before.
Otherwise I feel like they're shooting themselves in the foot. Again.
@craiggrannell Him and others are a fading Apple-commentary breed from the mid-00s that have always done those types of replies.
It's also why I stopped listening to a certain Realay network years ago.
They have their own distortion field that a bunch unfortunately follow with blind faith.
Testing out a new #emulator today for #iPhone, and I'm getting that same excitement from the mid-noughties —back when new emulators and major updates to existing ones would change the field constantly.
@craiggrannell You've instantly reminded me of when MAME brought out an update that ran Tekken Tag. It was slow but it ran!
Was built on the Tekken 3 engine, so it looked like an unreleased PS1 game.
I was excited.
This is the sort of thing more people should be writing re emulation. Point people at legit legal games. Show use cases beyond piracy. Bravo. #retrogaming
Good to see iMore’s coverage of emulation on iPhone/iPad repeatedly making the point that emulation is LEGAL, and that there are plenty of homebrew/indie ROMs available to use in emulators.
(I’m still getting pushback all over the place when writing about this subject, with people insisting emulation is illegal, mostly citing Nintendo throwing lawyers around. Although not here on Mastodon, because you’re all lovely, smart, wonderful folks, obvs.)
@craiggrannell Cheers Craig - that's exactly what I'm trying to focus on for the topic. There are so many great homebrew games you can play on Delta right now.
How common this has become these days gives me pause. Rain around here (south of England) used to be boring and blattery most of the time. No we get Florida-style downpours on a regular basis.
