Real Talk. The most powerful design tool I use on a regular basis is the .border(.red) modifier in SwiftUI. The ability to quickly examine a view's bounds IN CONTEXT has always been super useful to diagnose weird layout bugs, fix alignment and correct visual spacing.

The same calendar widget is shown but this time every view in it has its views visible by wrapping it in a colored border.

Screen recording demo of a small internal tool / app that I’ve made to test the different macOS materials (blurs). It’s a window with the Sonoma wallpaper as the background, and in the middle there’s a rounded rectangle with a blue, there’s a toolbar in the corner where you can select different materials, chose a color, and switch between dark/light mode and you can preview it immediately. You can also drag and drop any image in the window to use that as the background.

Lately I've found myself replacing the delegate pattern with passing dependencies through the initializer. See the screenshot for an example.

I enjoy that I can think of my app as a graph of objects constructed through initializers. Furthermore, my view controller no longer deals with an optional. That optional may exist in childPresenter but this seems to remove some complexity. Is this crazy?

Done with my first speed cubing competition. It was a small group of better than average solvers. I came in 23rd of 23 with an average solving time of 1:10. Never thought that a trash can would excite me but today we installed this system for sorting trash and I find it to be pretty cool.

A kitchen cabinet opens to reveal four garbage cans that rotate out of the cabinet as the door is opened.
