If you have installed HA Core in a python virtual environment in a Bastille jail, here is an RC script that you can use to manage a homeassistant service

@lme @homeassistant Correct, HA on linux is typically made up of a series of docker containers.
On FreeBSD, I have only installed HA Core. So instead of installing 'add-ons' via HA, I install services manually (e.g. MQTT).

Believe it or not, my main motivation for trying to get HA Core running in a jail was to make it easier to access my Zigbee controller! It still wasn't 'easy', but it was more convenient than passing through an entire USB controller.
