IMHO running any production k8s as a single admin is overkill. You end up spending a lot of time managing the cluster, which takes time away from managing the actual service.

Ugh. I tried to replace my dongle for a one, but botched the process so I broke the Zigbee network and had to rebuild. Luckily I had a backup, so I did not have to re-pair any of my devices, but I lost all the names and locations (funny enough the automations were not affected).

Kids, today's lesson is: backup your configs before making changes. 😄

It wasn't anything bad. I just wanted something that is fully integrated into HA.

So far it has been working well, but my Zigbee network is not that much complicated anyway.

So, the #SkyConnect has been causing #Zigbee and #WiFi issues in the past two days. Some of the Zigbee devices lost connection, forcing me to re-pair. Some 2.4Ghz WiFi devices also lost connection, but restarting them didn't fix anything. Gladly #Unifi is smart enough to figure out the less busy channels, so it moved the WiFi and I didn't have to touch Zigbee. But, it's been annoying...

That doesn't seem to be the problem. Some of the devices were near, both Zigbee and WiFi. Most likely it was related to channel overlap.

Ugh. My has been randomly freezing since a few days ago. After some troubleshooting I half-concluded that it might be the PoE HAT going bad. Sadly it started happening a few days after I installed and a dongle, on top of what it was already running, so now I'm not too sure if it's overloaded or really going bad (after 2.5 years of use). I'll keep it on a power brick until I find enough time to properly debug it.

The data is in a NAS, not in the Pi card, so it's fine. But I do have backups anyway.

Hey folks: looks like if I want to integrate HA with I need to either pay for Nabu Casa, or expose my HA to the internet. The former is not good, because I thought the point of HA was to be cloud-independent, and the latter is not good because of security exposure. Are there other options?

Vou contar pra vocês uma coisa que me agrada e diverte: 100% das vezes que eu menciono o Santos Dumont aqui no Mastodon (em alguma efeméride), aparecem amigos residentes na Europa dizendo que já conheciam o nome (que é de avenida, de praça, de rua etc. por lá) mas não sabiam quem era a pessoa.

Mais uma coisa legal de uma rede social aberta e que permite o fluxo de informação tão livre

Oh wow! I don't know when this happened, but now #hachyderm, the #Mastodon instance I'm on, has a #translate button for posts written in a language different than my interface language (only web, not via app).

It's important to highlight "interface language" because I keep mine in English, and I see #translation from German/Czech/Portuguese to English, but if I change my interface to Portuguese, I see English posts translated as well.
