Can I place an advance order for a nice leisurely brunch, with copious quantities of coffee, for about 10 am? 3 people, no allergies or food avoidances, other than that chef’s choice.
This is good to know. I will have a discussion with Force if he/she/whatever succeeds in stuffing up the delivery of our respective orders. Further misbehaviour and I will curse him to become a food delivery driver for a brief period to teach him better manners. This is educational, so not really a curse as such, so the threefold rule won’t come into play. We are allowed to prepare an educational experience for someone if our intentions are good (this has got me out of trouble a few times already).
Have found a tradie to come on Wednesday. Not a chance over the weekend apparently. Also, the nice person at the call centre said that they’d had more than 50 calls since 5 pm today for similar problems. Aaaarrrrrgggghhhh.
Sorrel is edible, and very nice to eat. Look up French sorrel soup - its an unfashionable and ugly gem of a soup. The tangy lemony taste is unique imo. Marvellous with crusty bread. Otherwise, just pretend it’s spinach and cook/eat accordingly but with lots of cream and/or melty cheese.
My bank when consulted on online gives me a total balance, and an available balance figure. That is, any pending payments fill up the gap between the two figures. Maybe your bank does something similar if you ask them nicely???
Snow peas are ready to eat whole when you can juuuusssst see/feel the tiny little peas inside the pod. And can be eaten at any time after that until the pods dry up and go crispy, but you have to shell them at that end of the season. Jelly. Mine don’t grow over winter dammit.
Strongest : peopling. Also other species-ing. Mostly due to lots of practice. When I realised that tech was operated by people, a lot of things that were in the skills black hole suddenly became understandable and therefore doable. Weakest : I am the world’s WORST procrastinator. Particularly when it comes to my personal lifestyle. I really do have to prioritise life admin, and quite a lots of things are a lot further down the list compared to almost everyone else I know. Also not a film/movie/tv person - just the wrong format for me. When forced to watch a ‘show’, I have a strong temptation to heave half a brick through the screen. No matter what the show is. Haven’t actually done that yet, but give me time.
Not good. Do you have cctv? Might still be worth reporting. The photo (?) sounds like might be casing the joint for robbery of tools/generator/copper piping etc. Which is a thing that’s increasing.
