Okay! I really need to circulate this knowledge!
I had three Xbox 360 controllers in my closet unused for about 5 years that wouldnt work recently when I put in new batteries.
Contacts were clean, but they just didn't turn on.

TURNS OUT it's the metal tabs on the inside of the removable battery compartments! They get bent inwards or flattened and bending them back outward makes the controllers light up again!

Keep this tip in mind, friends!

Using it for WASD gaming in an Xbox would have been brilliant! It's too bad microsoft never thought of that.

Trying to justify buying a new with a top notch video card. Looked at some of the newer games listed on and couldn't pick any that I really want to play. -man maybe? Tiny Tina's Wonderland is one I already own on the One and haven't had time to play iy yet. Everything else is meh.

And people wonder why I "Old PC Games" 😆

Sitting miles away from home in #vancouver, BC pondering what my next #career move should be. I'm currently a Web Content Manager, I was an Art Director in another life, and in 1987 after reading about Richard Garriott as a kid, I wanted nothing more than to be a game designer.

The whole game designer thing never worked out. I loved being a Graphic Designer at an agency, even though I worked hard to pay my dues. Web Content Management has made me money, but at the cost of happiness? #work

Part of the problem is that I got sucked into the shitty world of #nonprofits. While it has been fulfilling at times, and I hope that I've been able to make a difference in the live of #kidney patients, I believe it was a mistake from a career standpoint.

This current #job started in 11/2021, and for that first year, it was everything I wanted. I worked for an awesome boss and for the first time in a while, I was making money and happy at work. Then she left and it's been pure hell since.

No one wants to listen to a complainer, I know, but sometimes I just need people o hear my thoughts. It helps me process them. Fuck work, I need to enjoy #vancouver. It's lovely here. Rainy this morning. I'll go for a walk after the stops. Here's a #photo from yesterday when the sun was shining.
