I've just come across a Raycon earbuds "review" in quotes claiming that they're the best earbuds for vi people, and of course the video is sponsored by Raycon. So no, I bet they're not. It'll be just 99% copy he's been told to say to get that sweet YouTube money.
@KaraLG84 I have not seen these earbuds but did look up reviews and those said tehy aren't all that ... but who knows. Maybe they recently vastly improved :P
@KaraLG84 from what I can see its some kind of heart character reject from 1993 that really only works well on very few platforms, primarily Windows. Still wouldn't know why VO decides its Korean of all things but yeah ... its a random unicode character, not an actual emoji
For shits and giggles I thought I'd see if Be My AI could tell me the layout of a keyboard I was looking at. I asked it if the alt key was directly to the right of the Windows key. It said no, the key directly to the right of the Windows key is the Caps lock key.
So no, it can't.
@zersiax@KaraLG84 On a related note, it also seems to be very confused about direction and orientation. I've had it say above when something is beside, left when it's right, etc. I'm fascinated by what aspect of its training or inference leads to that problem. I guess if it's trained on images and descriptions, perhaps there aren't enough similar images with different directions and orientations in order for the correct direction to have a higher probability? No idea what I'm talking about just musing really.
@jcsteh@KaraLG84 seen that. I was trying to center an image in OBS and even with the size guides telling it how many pixels it is away from all sides it still finds that a very difficult task :)
I think it'd be awesome if there was an interactive fiction interpreter that had an interface similar to Mushclient or VIPMud with input and output edit fields you could navigate like any other edit control.
I have no idea how to even begin making such a thing, so if anyone wants to take that idea and run with it, feel free.
Finally got round to clearing out my desk drawer. It's just been full of junk like old Wi-Fi dongles, an old Logitech wireless mouse with a wheel that goes "Weeeeee!" when you flick it, even a long ago used iTunes gift card. I made sure I recorded the mouse going "Weeeee!" before I through it out though.
@KaraLG84 I threw out so many 90s-era Mac peripherals and networking cables after moving into my current small apartment and I still have a lot left somehow.
I wish Twitch streamers would read out the comment they're replying to. It's so distracting hearing them randomly talking to themselves when you're not paying attention to the trillions of messages coming into the chat every second, or even not looking at it at all.
It's one reason why I don't watch Twitch streams.
@zersiax@KaraLG84 Or at least, I don’t think you have to read the whole entire chat, but at least try to summarize the chat or the question your replying to before you reply to it. :-) Reminds me, going to check out your streams. There are sided people that are listening to these like a podcast and are not looking at the screen
@weirdwriter@KaraLG84 exactly and particularly when you watch an archive or VOD or whatever you want to call it, it's not always easy (e.g. mobile) to see the chat scroll, so at least giving an indicator is a good idea. I am generally pretty good about at least indicating Who I'm responding to, or somehow including the question in th eanswer, (Yes, I am indeed using XY), but I am very cognisant of the fact I do forget at times and it's one of my improvements I want to make :)
I find it weird when people replace the audio in videos of them going somewhere with a random song. I want to hear what the place sounds like, also what does Bill Withers' Lovely Day have to do with a market in Denmark?
@cordova5029@KaraLG84 LOL I can just see it now. So the audio sounds like, let's say, a scene in a horror movie or something. But look at the video, and it's someone brushing their teeth.
@jaybird110127@KaraLG84 exactly like that . THe audio is someone dropping many many heavy glass objects from a high place, while the video is someone, shaving lol.
I really do overthink emoji language. I started wondering how you'd form tenses like saying you've done the thing the emoji represents. Probably with face emojis and arrows.
@KaraLG84 there's languages that don't really conjugate, you usually have to work with words like " yesterday I be sick" or " small time ago I punch tree"
@KaraLG84 Good question, and one to which I don't really have an answer. I'm not sure how long Code Factory will keep the authentication server for the SAPI 5 version up - we haven't got any info from them.
@simon@twynn@jcsteh@NVAccess@KaraLG84 I'll happily break any laws to use Eloquence, without the smallest pang of guilt. The number of times I've already been forced to pay for it, over and over, for something that hasn't been updated in over 20 years, is the real crime.
