So apparently now at Costco, you have to have a membership ID that has a photo of you on it and they won’t even let you get in line to pay for your stuff unless you show your Costco card with a photo ID or with a photo on it if you have a Costco card that doesn’t have a photo on it then you have to show them your drivers...
I’ve heard about this which is to challenge card sharing obviously. Heading there next week and see if my location is doing it. Memberships are for households so what are they validating? Same address and over 16 is what defines the extra household card.
Can’t say I mind, guess there’s a few positions on it.
It devalues my membership when extra cards are shared.
I lend granny my card to see if she likes it and wants a membership.
Major abusers, and I don’t know how this would work, sharing a single membership among many.
Costco needs additional membership plans? Seems like this could be a system issue depending on what those would look like. Me and granny only go a couple of times a year so a multi-household plan with a limited number of visits? Feels like a stretch case.
The stories of folks with those contracts will start coming out in a month. Similar to the situation during the freeze a couple of years ago. Griddy in particular had a lot of lower income families who didn’t understand the implication of variable rates along with being told about “average” rates and then were stung when the bill showed up.
This is sad. When these things happen I think about the times when there’s cold and ice in Texas, folks from the north point at the idiot southerners but when it comes to heat and they’re suffering it’s a “poor them” situation. These folks were from Florida and really do feel bad for them. This heat spell is deadly and you might feel fine now but in 30 minutes your world could be in a really bad place. Know your limits, you’re just as much a hero for hunkering indoors.
New exec member here; anyone have any particularly good or bad experiences with Costco's car insurance? I'll be getting a quote soon, but any comments on the service/coverage? General Costco protips welcome as well :)
Looks like it’s American Family Insurance under the covers and they seem to have good reviews and lower customer complaints than usual. I just learned Costco offers this, thanks!
The increasingly public feud between Russian military leaders and the head of a Russian paramilitary group escalated dramatically on Friday, when Yevgeny Prigozhin, the head of the paramilitary Wagner Group, accused Russian armed forces of attacking his soldiers and vowed retaliation. It was a shocking accusation, one with...
Interesting situation. Prigozhin has criticized the Russian military over the past few months and Putin has stayed silent. Now this and the military responds but Putin remains silent. Putin needs a weak military to avoid being overthrown, but the FSB opens an investigation, why? Prigozhin threatens to attack the russian military and comes up with a story/lie that he realizes the Ukrainian invasion was based on lies. What does Prigozhin want, money a coup?
Hi all. My partner saw online about Costco having big packs of Morningstar Farms Chik Patties/Grillers/etc. but we haven't been able to find it at our local Costco in Pittsburgh. Wondering if this a regional thing or if it might be an equivalent to Aldi's "Special Finds"? Any input would be appreciated!
This will be an interesting situation in the next few years. People have been moving into the state in heavy numbers creating an energy burden, the state government has looked the other way on producers following maintenance schedules over profit so idle capacity isn’t certain to come online, and the governor’s threat that a better grid will cost consumers.
I can't wait for this kid to round off his sharp edges. I think with experience he will be able to contribute more to diverse pairings. I just hope he learns to keep his head up, it seems like he was getting flattened every game.
Shows he’s got the game so I hope you’re right about experience. I have no feel for player dynamics but would have thought he’d have more success with Seguin. Assuming they sign Dadanov I hope DeBoer still gives him some time in his comfort zone next year if he’s still maturing.
Sixty people die when Russia bombs a Ukrainian school and it passes by without much reaction. A sub with 4 people who know the risk of what they’re doing and a billionaire thrill seeker goes missing and it’s news to follow hourly.
Is Bergeron really a free agent? Technically yes, but he’s going to either resign for a year or retire. The season had a crushing end and is it worth another campaign depending on how his back injury plays out? I’m usually wrong but will go with retire.
