We want to make clear that our decision to close the ARM project was born out of the fact it was run by ONE developer who quit. Like the rest of our team, he doesn't do this for a living but just for the love of it. We didn't close the door indefinitely.
Any developer with a fresh view is more than welcome to join us.

Goodbye EndeavourOS ARM

When we started in 2019, we had a close community helping and cheering us on to get EndeavourOS up and running out of the ashes of Antergos.

One of those community members was Pudge, who enthusiastically joined us initially from the sideline by giving us tips. When the project started, he created a script to make EndeavourOS compatible with the ODROID N2, ODROID XU4 and Raspberry Pi 4 ARM device

Sway was a community edition with pre-settings that were developed by a community member who left. i3 isn't a community edition and is set up by one of the main developers, so it is easier to maintain it. since he knows which settings are where and how.
A lot of the community edition maintainers left without a sign. To be honest, we have no clue where they are and how they are doing. It is difficult to have a conversation in a blank space.😉

@cameronbosch @itsfoss We're always open to such initiatives. When you're ready, just go tour GitHub page and fire away. The dev team is just three guys, so they already have their hands full maintaining Calamares and the ISO, so they can lend a hand in the right direction but aren't able to develop and maintain with you. Something you really must realize is that we're Arch-based, so pre-settings easily break with each update. That was the thing a lot of people underestimated.
