I was never much of a fan of story in video games, but for a bit I became more tolerant of it after playing "Lost Odyssey" and "Xenoblade Chronicles 2". That said, as my epilepsy has gotten worse and video games are a consistent trigger for seizures, I have zero tolerance now for story. Like, video games, even when I wear my sunglasses that help prevent seizures, often cause seizures. So, I don't play them as much anymore and since I'm expecting a seizure at any moment, all I want to do is play.
I'm sorry, I don't want to spend precious time with story!
Like, if I'm going to have a seizure, I want to do it while having a blast playing a GAME, not watching a story. If I want to get a seizure watching a story, I'd watch a movie or TV show. I play video games for the game.
Also, this applies to terrible tutorials that constantly stop you or take too long to finish. Let me play and figure it out. "Princess Peach Showtime", "Pikmin 4", and "The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom" drove me nuts with their tutorials. I didn't spend much time playing them because they didn't just let me play.
The Oilers are in? YES! We get to watch McJesus chase the Cup! LET'S GO!!! Gonna be real, this is the best-case scenario for me. I love Bob and I also love to see McDavid lift the Cup. Gonna be fun to watch.
Tried to watch "The Pianist" again since another family member was playing it in the living room, and made it further than I thought I would, but yeah, I can't bring myself to watch it all the way through again. Easily the hardest movie I've ever watched to get through.
There's something I need to ask my paid subscribers: is it ok if I remove the paywall and make EVERY article free and supporting Prism Hockey would be just that, supporting, or is having exclusive articles genuinely meaningful to you?
I don't play video games all that much anymore because I've had too many seizures while playing them so I keep gaming to a minimum now, but someday I need to be able to play Project '06. Like, so badly. Aka, when I have a Windows computer that isn't crap.
I don't like to not finish books. I won't DNF it unless I genuinely despise it that much (super rare), or usually, I like it but for some odd reason am taking so long to read it that I decide that maybe I should put it down for now and come back to it later. That said, sometimes I wish I would DNF books more often considering how many mediocre books I read. Including the two I'm currently reading.
A few months ago I became aware of "ope", a word I genuinely never noticed before and almost immediately I became VERY self-conscious of the fact I do say it a lot without realizing it and now I hear it everywhere. I genuinely never noticed.
Look, I may not have liked the drawings of the Walter Cup and dunked on it, especially offline, but it looks way better irl. Not great, but definitely much better.
I just saw the "Moana 2" teaser trailer and now I just have to keep telling myself that I won't get myself hyped for this movie. Disney has too bad of a record in recent years for me to get my hopes up that this might actually be good.
I honestly cannot think of a single fantasy series I've read that benefitted from having more than three books. If anything it's always to the detriment of the series. Seriously, just keep it a trilogy.
Just finished season one of "My Adventures With Superman". Absolutely loved it. Watching season two is an absolute need for me now. This show is basically a love-letter to Superman and reminded me of why I liked the character so much to begin with.
A little piece of Anna lore: the first comic I ever owned was a Superman comic. No, I don't know the issue because I can't find it online, sadly.
