"Warning. Do not ingest this computer because it has a battery inside."

This prompts my "Humanity is too stupid to continue existing" response.

@johnefrancis I'm passing on the information that PCs without batteries are safe to consume.

I don't think such a device exists, but anyhoo. Live and learn. Such as it is.

As a long-time corporate licensing manager, Teams bundling with 365 never bothered me. There are a lot of packages that bundle collaboration with their licensing.

What I really wish they would unbundle and stop forcing down our throats....

Fucking Co-Pilot. Yeet that shit into the sun.

I hate the fracturing of live sports across subscription services so fucking much.

I opt out. I fucking do.

If I gotta pay to watch, I ain’t watching.

I'm GenX and I have vague memories about "The Breakfast Club" and it not making much of an impression on me. I didn't relate to anyone in the movie and was mostly bored.

This is the inevitable consequence of viewing any and all government spending as wasteful and as taxation as an unfair burden.

Well, we can pay in other ways.

Either way we're going to pay. And many of us with our lives instead of through our taxes. That's the choice we made(/was made for us).

Microsoft is rapidly cracking down on environments running legacy versions of Microsoft Exchange. We're one of them.

What they don't tell you is, they want you to get rid of the legacy versions, but they've also purged all the TechNet articles with instructions on how to do that. Which is fucking ridiculous. Rock meet hard place. "You are required to do this, but we won't tell you how."

Anyway, if you need pointers because you are in the same boat, I have a few learned through experience.

Aside: If Microsoft hadn't delayed my Exchange 365 migration by 7 months through their own incompetence, I wouldn't be up against the wall of their imposed deadline of being completely migrated by next fucking month.

Assholes. They put me in this spot, and won't help me get out of it.

The thing about long 'mild' springs is that it kicks my cabin fever into high gear.

I want to just sit outside. But it's too cold for that.

My wife "Well, just go for a walk instead."

Quelling the rage inside my breast I whisper to myself "Walking isn't sitting."

This is a shitty headline. Its meaning is flat out wrong.

More accurately, we can’t rely on planting trees as the only solution to combat climate change.

You can’t correct mistaken impressions with incorrect information. FFS.

So now I eat two of everything.

Take that shrinkflation!

Hot tip (literally)

If you’re going to use the oven to heat up something, it won’t work if you leave the something on the counter.

Helps to put in the freaking oven. Like, a lot.

Two hours of labour, and three large branches are trimmed, cut up and stacked neatly.

Used to take half a day for one big branch with my “make-do” tools.

Slept for 12 hours last night.

All the other sleepless nights finally caught up to me.

As nice as 12 hours felt, I wouldn’t mind smoothing that average out a bit.

@SonofaGeorge I'm surprised about your iPhone 11 issues. It is registered/listed as supported with current OS releases until 2026.

As much as I hate Apple (and it is a burning hate) longevity with support is the one thing they are better at than any Android mobile phone maker.

Helped someone fax documents to the CRA.

We need to rip the bandage off and ban faxing as a communication tool.
