I kept my twtr account for a while because brands I occasionally reach out to were still exclusively there. It’s now no longer the case so I put the account down for real :)
This might be a good time for #dotnet#oss projects to start thinking about adapting their codebases for #rustlang, #javascript, #java, #kotlin, and other ecosystems. Diversifying your audience might be a parachute worth having.
I can highly recommend using a lightweight library like #Javalin instead of #Spring (Boot), next time you build a #Java / #Kotlin web application, just to experience what you're (not) missing.
@voltagex I'd go with #csharp which should be the most productive of the three. I'm biased though, working with it since it's beta. The next option would be #rust, but as mentioned, it has a steep learning curve and not everything is in place yet (async is quite volatile from what I read). But hey, there are also #swift and #kotlin out there. Both at a similar level to C#.
For a hackathon this weekend, we built a small application in #Kotlin, #Javalin and #Lit that uses #Tensorflow to detect if you're about to upload something you might want to reconsider, and then allows stripping Exif metadata for privacy.
We also looked at distorting the image to make it unusable for training an #AI. In one day we could just garble the image beyond human recognition, but a better option would be integrating #Glaze to distort it for AI yet not for the human eye.
I like this #knot :) It took me a minute to figure out if the three curves are entangled or not. And somehow it gives me some kind of pleasure to move the curves in my mind. Weird :) #CreativeCoding#OPENRNDR#Kotlin#geometry#math
Next, I wondered what would happen if instead of giving each iteration the same values I alternate between two values for even and odd iterations. I also added some randomness to all values to make it more organic and added circular gradients to make it less flat. #creativeCoding#computationalDesign#recursive#OPENRNDR#Kotlin
Start with a regular polygon with 5, 4 or 3 sides. Rotate its control points 75 degrees, then repeat: create a new polygon based on the last one with points at t=0.35 between start and end of each segment. Rotate its control points 75 degrees. #CreativeCoding#OPENRNDR#Kotlin#geometry
I got lucky with the angle. I was trying the contour adjuster on a circle and a rectangle, and got a result that surprised me. Pure luck. I like how the rectangle seems to hug the circle :-) #CreativeCoding#OPENRNDR#Kotlin

To automate the updates of my #GitHub profile, I chose #KotlinScripting because I was proficient enough in #Kotlin, but I wanted to learn the scripting part. Over the years, I became more and more dissatisfied with the solution. I recently moved away from Kotlin Scripting to #Python. In this post, I want to explain my reasons and document the migration.
