I kept my twtr account for a while because brands I occasionally reach out to were still exclusively there. It’s now no longer the case so I put the account down for real :)

I can highly recommend using a lightweight library like #Javalin instead of #Spring (Boot), next time you build a #Java / #Kotlin web application, just to experience what you're (not) missing.

Implicit returns are a feature in some languages. They have recently bitten me, so here’s my opinion.

Both #Rust and #GoLang make me feel like I am unable to write code, to some degree. I know more Go than Rust but I would like to change that.

I want to reimplement the #Wallabag API.

Which should I choose? I guess #CSharp is also an option.

mihamarkic,
@mihamarkic@mastodon.social avatar

@voltagex I'd go with #csharp which should be the most productive of the three. I'm biased though, working with it since it's beta. The next option would be #rust, but as mentioned, it has a steep learning curve and not everything is in place yet (async is quite volatile from what I read). But hey, there are also #swift and #kotlin out there. Both at a similar level to C#.

For a hackathon this weekend, we built a small application in #Kotlin, #Javalin and #Lit that uses #Tensorflow to detect if you're about to upload something you might want to reconsider, and then allows stripping Exif metadata for privacy.

We also looked at distorting the image to make it unusable for training an #AI. In one day we could just garble the image beyond human recognition, but a better option would be integrating #Glaze to distort it for AI yet not for the human eye.

I like this :) It took me a minute to figure out if the three curves are entangled or not. And somehow it gives me some kind of pleasure to move the curves in my mind. Weird :)

Next, I wondered what would happen if instead of giving each iteration the same values I alternate between two values for even and odd iterations. I also added some randomness to all values to make it more organic and added circular gradients to make it less flat. #creativeCoding #computationalDesign #recursive #OPENRNDR #Kotlin

To automate the updates of my #GitHub profile, I chose #KotlinScripting because I was proficient enough in #Kotlin, but I wanted to learn the scripting part. Over the years, I became more and more dissatisfied with the solution. I recently moved away from Kotlin Scripting to #Python. In this post, I want to explain my reasons and document the migration.
