Today my spouse Viktor is a guest of honor at the #tribecafilmfestival in #nyc . He is a cofounder and codirector of the #LAMMP charity, a non-profit adjunct of a for-profit #forensic research institute that is solving the murder case of #VenusXtravaganza. A documentary about Venus is shown 3 times at the film festival. My spouse is a subject matter expert on the #genetic#genealogy for that case. He focuses on marginalized people and minorities.
I come from a long line of scholars. My uncle, who is nearing the end of his life, has collated the family history and put it into a spreadsheet. It documents the migration of our ancestors around China and into the guangchow area. Incredibly, he has followed the line back to 635BC! I am in awe and have volunteered to put this info onto the internet, maybe we will find a larger family ☺️ #genealogy
As the unofficial accidental family historian, relatives frequently send me old photos, albums and other items. I find inspiration in 1 Giant Leap while working on family history stuff..

One detangling strategy I've been using the past few years is: when I come across an issue on my tree, I add it to my "To Do" list in my #genealogy program (I use Legacy Family Tree). That way I can research it properly & won't forget about it. #genchat@genchat
