INIMBA is the Xhosa word for motherly love, including the love that mothers feel for all children.
It is INIMBA that I feel for this little girl crying for her dead father, that surely every parent, every human feels. Please watch the interview.
It is horrendous that US, German, UK and of course Israel leaders have created a situation where millions choose to ignore any Inimba and support 3 months of killing children. Horrendous. 1/2 #Inimba#InimbaForPalestine
2/2 it’s #MothersDay in the UK today andI am thinking of all the mothers who have lost their children and children who have lost their mothers, including very much those in #Gaza.
But I am also again thinking about the #Xhosa concept of #Inimba, especially in its wider sense of the motherly love mothers feel for all children (see ⬆️). So sharing again today. Here is to #Inimba!
