ScreenToGif is a very nice screen capture tool. Excellent for documenting that unexpected behaviour of your software. Capture, Edit, Export to Gif or Mpeg.
But you might have inadvertently changed the options: #MacOS gives you the chance of just setting a destination folder and avoid any delays, in case you need to batch process the screen shots and/or you’re in a hurry.
The usual way is for a little floating image remaining for a few seconds after the capture. Click on it and have your way to edit/mark up and share. The app #ScreenCapture has this options
