I took this photo in 2022, looking out from the Amber Fort in Rajasthan, towards the valley. The fort was built in the year 1592 by the Rajah Man Singh I.

The Hawa Mahal (also known as the Palace of the Winds) was built in 1799 by the Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh. The Palace of the Winds boasts 953 windows on its intricate lace-like facade, meticulously crafted to afford the ladies of the royal court a discreet vantage point for observing the bustling street life below. I took these photos when I was in Jaipur, last year.
