We're almost to 1 month of running Nerdbin (the 15th I think?!) - and I've been happy to see folks find my little #kbin instance, #nerdbin - targeting anyone with an awesome little nerdy fandom they are passionate about.
We've got folks creating their own magazines, some talking in existing ones. I appreciate everyone!
At the 1 month mark I'm going to post a "month in review" to show off growth, costs, etc, for everyone interested in running their own!
Well, following advices, trying out this new instance, nerdbin.social hope that it works out well. @Matt, while adding my subscriptions (and as a testing of federation) I noticed I couldn't subscribe to any magazines on lemmy.world and lemmy.ml and I'm going to assume you chose to defederate from them. Is there any specific reason why? #nerdbin#kbin#fediverse
Okay, so I made a #NerdBin account to try out #KBin. Not sure how much I'll use it cause I was never really a big Reddit person in general, but if interested - here's my account: @mdmrn
@mdmrn You add /m/<community> to base url and click subscribe. Remove "!" from the community name. If it doesn't load, it's probably problem with your instance and the federation.
