Little over a month in to running a #kbin instance. Our instance, #nerdbin, has a little over 60 users and almost 80 posts (https://fedidb.org/network/instance/nerdbin.social)

1. Issues I've created on their issue tracker have been closed as duplicates, even though they were not duplicates.
2. I don't like that I get subscribed to everything someone adds to the instance. Creates too much noise.

Other than that, the few posts I see via Nerdbin have been awesome! Looking to join a nerdy kbin instance? Join nerdbin! <3

We're almost to 1 month of running Nerdbin (the 15th I think?!) - and I've been happy to see folks find my little #kbin instance, #nerdbin - targeting anyone with an awesome little nerdy fandom they are passionate about.

We've got folks creating their own magazines, some talking in existing ones. I appreciate everyone!

At the 1 month mark I'm going to post a "month in review" to show off growth, costs, etc, for everyone interested in running their own!

Thanks @DrakkenZero for the #kbin pro-tip - want to clean up your #NerdBin UI a bit?

1. Add the #TamperMonkey extension.
2. Add the kbin enhancement script: https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/468612-kbin-enhancement-script/code
3. Go to TamperMonkey Dashboard and edit the script.
4. Line 11 add

// @match https://nerdbin.social/*

5. Save it
6. Go to https://NerdBin.social
7. Click the cog in the top right corner
8. Choose your additional UI options!

Well, following advices, trying out this new instance, nerdbin.social hope that it works out well.
@Matt, while adding my subscriptions (and as a testing of federation) I noticed I couldn't subscribe to any magazines on lemmy.world and lemmy.ml and I'm going to assume you chose to defederate from them. Is there any specific reason why?
