On the night of December 26, 2023, the Russian large amphibious assault ship #Novocherkassk was destroyed in the port of #Feodosia in the temporarily occupied #Crimea.
The Russian webpage "Independent Television of Sevastopol" released news that 74 Russian sailors were killed during the attack and destruction of the Novocherkassk. 27 more got injured.

Radio Svoboda obtained Maxar pictures showing Russian ships which left the harbor of Russian-occupied Feodosia only hours after the successful Ukrainian strike.
Even previously, it has been observed that Russian ships are leaving ports of the occupied peninsula and relocating their ships back to Russia. This might part of it.
In reference to the destroyed Russian landing ship Novocherkassk and according to a source of the TG Channel "Astra", 33 Russian sailor are currently declared missing, 23 are injured and one is dead. There were presumably 77 sailors on board the ship during the attack.
Based on satellite pics Radio Svoboda has identified that next to the Novocherkassk another ship was sunk this morning in the harbor of Russian-occupied Feodosia. It is training ship UTS-150.
The Russian propaganda says that the Novocherkassk was only "damaged". This picture shows what's left of that Russian warship. It is but a pile of smoldering metal.
According to Ukrainian forces the ship was loaded with Shahed drones.
The Ropucha Class landing ship, which got destroyed early this morning, was the Novocherkassk. This ship barely escaped in March 24, 2022, the strikes in Russian-occupied Berdyansk, when the Saratov was sunk in the harbor.
The blast wave in Russian-occupied Feodosia caused considerable damage in the immediate area of the military harbor. This footage shows the train station. You can see that the windows are not only shattered but the entire frames pushed inside.
