Mental health patients have alleged they were raped and sexually assaulted while being treated by the NHS.

Following this week's horrific acid attack in London, #FOI shows an increase in such attacks.

In 2022, acid attacks shot up by 69% nationwide & 45% in the capital, responses to a request from Acid Survivors Trust International (ASTI) show.

#FOI shows, between 2019 & 2022, 8 firefighters & staff at Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service were reported to or investigated by the police for alleged sexual offences.

4 were convicted, with 2 still working for the service as of March 8, 2023

Medical blunders, equipment malfunctions and other healthcare ‘failings’ have cost NHS Ayrshire & Arran nearly £5.5m in legal fees, #FOI shows.

On at least three occasions surgical ‘foreign bodies’ were seemingly left “in situ” following procedures.

After a 2.5 year transparency battle, the Cabinet Office revealed it paid £13k to celebs to support a push to get pupils back in classrooms.

A new #FOI has since revealed it spent £20k on fighting publication - more than it paid to the celebrities.

Converted handguns - originally designed to fire blanks - are currently responsible for more shooting incidents than "real" handguns.

#FOI shows increases in attacks on teachers & other staff in Highland, Moray and Aberdeenshire

Moray & Highland have both seen incidents more than triple over the last 5 years. In Aberdeenshire, attacks using a weapon rose from 6 in 17/18 to 28 in 22/23.

As of June 2023, 6,503 children were on waiting lists to see a speech and language therapist, according to #FOI.

RCSLT head of Scotland, Glenn Carter, warned numbers are at their highest in five years and there were few signs of the situation improving.

Police Scotland recorded the first cases of 3D-printed guns last year, with two incidents revealed by #FOI.

Details showed the first incident occurred last April in Argyll and West Dunbartonshire, with the other happening a month later in Tayside.

There's been a rise in the number of sexual offences recorded on London's Tube network.

#FOI data recorded 909 sexual offences, excluding rape, between 1 December 2022 and 30 November 2023, compared to 866 in the previous 12 months.

Ambulances in the East Midlands may be more likely to break down than those in the West Midlands.

#FOI shows in August, 239 breakdowns were recorded by the East of England Ambulance Service Trust compared to 34 at West Midlands Ambulance Service.

The number of dangerous dogs being seized by police in Wales has jumped by almost 40% in the last four years.

#FOI shows 204 dogs were seized in 2022 under the Dangerous Dogs Act, up from 147 in 2018, a 39% increase.
