Minor point, but I'm a little surprised that #DeadSpace remake didn't retcon the crew compliment of the Ishimura. 1000 workers doesn't seem close to the required amount of biomass to be responsible for all the Corruption or the Leviathan.
It's a video game sure, but esp with the remake the series is pretty damn good at dotting it's is and crossing it's ts. The remake ties in several parts of the lore that didn't exist when the original was made.
Minor but appreciated little thing, the #DeadSpace remake has isaac lean (but not MOVE) towards a direction you're moving the analog stick within the deadzone.
Nice for the smalllllest possible movements, or just seeing where the dead zone is.
I find it quite telling that my nervewracking #dream last night after playing about 10 hours of #DeadSpace in the dark was...
...getting stuff together to move out of a communal space (AKA college dorms even if college is so far away my brain now makes weird explainations for why I am living in what is clearly a college dorm despite completely fucked up geometry and general nonsense)

IDK how I feel about Isaac talking. I know they do it in later games, but I feel not hearing him really adds to the reveal at the end. We'll see though
Feels like the new story changes want to more evenly balance the evil religion aspect with the evil corpo/government angle. I don't fully disapprove, that was 100% there in the original already, but willingness to have an evil cult was a pretty notable aspect of the series.
On the other hand, Isaac now has a real back story and is a certified Religion Hater™ like me so I can't mind that too much

I know it’s a 15 year old game but it’s new to me. It’s like discovering a classic movie or book for the first time. #Alien is one of my favorite movies so exploring a spaceship is 🤩
It’s visually stunning but the 2008 version still holds up. Its HUD-less UI must have felt revolutionary then. It still does.
Gosh, I’d love to see a fully ray traced version of this game.
