> The Border Patrol's Tucson Sector—which covers Arizona's border with Mexico from the Yuma County line to New Mexico—has led the nation in use-of-force incidents with 177 incidents since the 2023 fiscal year began on Oct. 1, 2022. Most of these incidents involved vehicles, however, in 21 cases, BP agents in the sector used "less-lethal" weapons, which includes batons, Tasers, and pepper-spray.
