Cached US Kindle giveaway: 6 copies of Ann Leckie's Ancillary Justice (Imperial Radch Book 1), which I have and have read! It's the first of... 4 -- no, 5! -- books now, I think? It is an interesting space opera, but it has a huge universe set inside it, and this is the introduction. It's won awards, quite justifiably. So if you haven't read it, you probably should, and if you have, this is your chance to find someone who hasn't and introduce them to something new! Yay!

#FinishedReading the followup to #AnnLeckie 's Imperial Radch trilogy. Although it is set in a different milieu, very much recommended to read the Ancillary books first because the conclusion of that series is a plot point here. Leckie is one of the best in #SciFi for inventing alternative cultures and seeing how they can clash or cooperate; here the high concepts are wrapped in a fun and twisty, somewhat noirish, tale of murder and politics #Bookstodon@bookstodon
I’d preordered this and got it the day it was published, but I put off starting it as I was sure it would be good and I wouldn’t get anything else done. I was right. Haven’t been able to put it down. So, I just read that Ann Leckie has two published novels I have not read. I thought I'd buy the ebooks--I like to support the author. I can't. The ebooks (from Hachette) are DRM-encumbered, and I don't buy DRM-damaged ebooks. So, Hachette: sale you just lost. I'm sure Tor has some unmarred ebooks I can get.
