Instead, here's a native #bee about to make headway into one of the blossoms, to drink deeply of its #nectar, and 'bee' (pardon the pun) on its merry way - to do what it does best - #pollinate!
@curiocritters In Malaysia I found that it attracts digger bees (Amegilia sp.) to gardens. Usually I see them patrolling close to these flowers and they land on nearby vines to rest. It's a neat trick to catch photos of these fast flying bees.
@curiocritters It makes a very good blue edible food dye. In southeast Asia we use it to color our foods and rice. (Unfortunately I don't have any photos on my phone.)
Soaked in hot water it becomes a mild grassy tasting blue tea. Adding lime to it turns it purplish. It was quite popular online a few years back.
