-Not Japanese, but I've learnt from lots of anime, gaming, Seiyuu radio shows, #GenkiTextbooks, and JLPT guidebooks. My supposed level is N2+ according to N1 friends, but I can't be bothered to take the exam #TestAnxiety and :leafeonmoney: .
-Currently self-studying Korean
-Used to fly to Japan a lot
-Been a fan of #Anime since the #Ninku, #FushigiYuugi days
-Worked in both the Bay Area and Boston. I'm no longer there. I also have sat in for a few random classes in MIT and Stanford
-Fav Japanese Game: #LittleBusters, peak #MaedaJun
-I love good stories, and my preferred genre is #Fantasy, but sometimes #SciFi. My current fav author is #BrandonSanderson, and it's great that he churns out books so fast.
-I have a mom-daughter pair of cats. I post about them occasionally
-I really love animals in anime, if wasn't obvious enough. The world needs more cute, and I'm just cataloguing it.
@anianimalsmoe I was very surprised to see an account like yours when I first joined but was very delighted because it reminded me of fanblogs on Tumblr. Plus, animals! Cute! :ai_smile_misskeyio:

I've been on Tumblr for almost, what, 12 years (?) and only broke 150 followers like two years ago. Hasn't exactly still moved since then. And I was actively posting for years before I scaled back a lot in like 2016 or 2018. Tumblr never really "worked" for me like it did for others...

Anime only got more available outside of Japan in the 90s because of Cable TV, only really hardcore people managed to watch #CaptainHarlock by getting the VHS. I wasn't that hardcore.
#WolfsRain's environmental themes does seem like it'd be a hit among the Gen Zs.
