expert,

I decided to remove Threads link from my profile - done.

Replaced it with another verified link.

Now, why did I did this?

Well, because:

  • The only topic on Threads is Elon Musk and Twitter, which makes the feed really boring.

  • I don't trust Meta.

  • I don't want people to block/report my account because of Threads.

#threads #elon #musk #elonmusk #meta #facebook #x #twitter #fediverse #mastodon

expert,

Also, I've seen people has their #tumblr verified on their #Mastodon accounts - would like to wonder how do I do it.

It's been a while since I've touched any of it but I know that Tumblr let you edit full HTML for a theme, in the past; having access to full HTML, it'd be pretty trivial just just put the verify part you need directly in your Tumblr theme (that's how I'd expect they're doing it).

expert,

@Swanye I'll try.

expert,

@Swanye I tried. You're right, it is still supports themes and customization, but unfortunately, even following your instructions, it didn't help.

Would be cool to have you investigating this why.

EDIT: OK, turns out #Tumblr converts the "rel=me" thing to "rel=noopener". So, what to do to fix the issue?

Hmm; I'm not sure. I added it next to where the description is injected, in my theme (first image). But that seemed to take, just fine; inspecting the page, itself (after changes were saved), didn't seem to clobber the "rel='me'" part, any (second picture).

Just to make sure it all worked together, I've added a link to the Tumblr account to my Masto account and it's marked as verified. Maybe there's a type somewhere that caused Tumblr to not interpret it as valid HTML?

expert,

@Swanye ok, so what I did is I went to my blog settings at https://www.tumblr.com/settings/blog/expertplus and enabled custom theme (first screenshot). Then, I copied and pasted the HTML thing from Mastodon's settings to Description - see second screenshot.

What did I did wrong?

Ahh; there's your issue. If I'm not mistaken, the Description section there is the same as under the normal Profile settings: a average-user–friendly textbox so it won't accept any HTML.

What you'll want to do is click the "Edit HTML >" link towards the top-left of your first screenshot.

In there, you should find the raw HTML of your entire theme (similar to my first screenshot in my previous post).
