CRONYIST innovation is publicly funded. Some people the current situation and conclude that profits should be made public (often with precious little thought as to what that looks like). Capitalists look at the current situation and conclude that funding should be and remain private. Capitalism is a profit and loss system; cronyism seeks to make the loss public and keep the profits private.

Hey, if you want to commit fraud against your employer while also reducing the value you provide to society, you're far from alone. Lots of people somehow see that as a laudable thing. They're fine with the consumer paying their paycheck, and thus increasing the prices the consumer pays, while they themselves...well, shirk their contractual responsibilities. Personally, I prefer when the consumer gets the value of my work that they pay for.

I understand if you see that as equivalent. Lots of people don't see the difference between choosing not to engage in a given activity during their spare time and committing fraud while also violating their contracts.
