erinwhalen,

A team of molecular biologists found that fungi keep themselves colder than their surroundings – about 1.4 to 5.9°C colder in one study.

I read this and immediately thought about the world heating up and the recent spate of articles talking about mycelium being used in building construction as well as materials for clothing, packaging, and other products.

Think we'll have fungi-cooled buildings and clothing one day?
