Comparing longtime, volunteer community moderators to politicians is an unforced, massive blunder for the CEO of a platform for volunteer-led communities.
It's hard to imagine that the co-founder and CEO of Reddit would be so incredibly callous to the contributions of volunteers, but you have to remember that Huffman and Ohanian got their start lying to new users by pretending to be other people, to trick them into thinking it was more active. And then Huffman went on to teach that tactic to students.
