Thanks. Still... well, I guess I owe you an explanation of how CWs work on Mastodon. Mastodon has a feature when you create or edit a post where you can press the "CW" button and a text input appears above the post. Apps like Fedilab and Tusky have that feature, too.
Then you put the content-warning text on that, and that makes all the content collapsible and hidden. Readers need to click on a button to expand the content and see what's inside the post.
Adding some text inside the post saying "CW" is not the same thing, as the content is still fully visible.
Just curious, what client are you using that doesn't let you use this feature?
@yuki2501 I see now. I use Metatext. I haven’t seen content warning button anywhere until… I went into settings and now I see there is a big CW, lol! Sorry about that! I do try and consider how others may take something I post. While I’m not extremely new to Mastodon, I don’t use it as much as some people do and I haven’t spent a whole lot of time delving into all of the features it has. But now that I see that big CW I will make sure and use it. Apologies
