My granny was a doffer and lived in a mill village, half a block from the mill. That resembles the guard house at the entrance. What's it *going to be now is the question.

@DemocracySpot I did do some history digging and it’s apparently an old tenant house but it’s unusual for the south in having the stone walls.

Cool. The only stone building I can think of in that town, at that time, the 1960s, was the Episcopal Church. It's still standing. Circa 1910.
