@carlton The last two weeks of the conference are the time I probably spend most time thinking about the topic of my talk, letting ideas marinate and having discussions with people.

Even if I'd have a some kind of outline of the talk ready 2 weeks prior, most of the best ideas spark within that intensive thinking process.

@carlton @djangoconeurope I've done plenty of public speaking before, but never a proper conference talk like this.

It's quite humbling to know I'm not the only one who finds the planning / thought stressful ❤️

@jake @carlton really good initiative indeed.
But I agree, I never could get slides ready before the day prior. And of course the last minute tweaks at night/early morning 😂.

I'm not aware that's something @europython does, but if I volunteer to chair a session I'll offer a last-minute review to the speakers.

@docbibi @jake @europython last minute review isn’t going to be helpful I’d say (unless it’s just to say “you can go on”) the lead time gives an opportunity to make edits.
