Putin said that Russia has no plans to capture Kharkiv.
"What is happening in the Kharkiv region is a fault of the Ukrainian authorities and a clear response to the shelling of the border regions in Russia."
He also said that the 'Istanbul agreements' are the only basis for a possible negotiation process with Ukraine.
@ErikJonker@noelreports he’s in the strongest position since the beginning of the war, therefore the push for “negotiations”. However for negotiations to take place there must be trust that agreements will be followed through, and I don’t think any Ukrainian have trust in that, so doubtful it will materialise. Unless there’s a strong push from main allies
@ErikJonker nope, just his usual response to things, no plans means only we have plans but cannot do it yet, past agreements lets have a chat means only gimme the time do get ready to do it
Compared with "we are gonna leave Transnistria" "There are no green men in Crimea" "We have no plans to invade Ukraine, they are just regular exercises at the border"
