Ill take your word on it, going to use a Linux VM because getting it to run on windows was a hassle.
Thats fair, um, anything I need to remember. before I set up?
Also, You got this broski, you are a talented guy. for better or worse, ever considered starting a Fiverr or advertising your programming skills in your area?
I don't think so? The old documentation really got at everything, I think. Just make sure you have all the dependencies I listed and you should be fine, I think; any decent Linux distro should have them all in their package manager (they're not uncommon, any).
It's not a bad idea. My worry has always been not making enough, that way (got a spouse and two cats to additionally feed); I'm also fairly low on spoons, most days, and I'd probably need to be proactive, that route.
I recently started going out and putting my name in the local paper for logos and designs and stuff, a lot of small businesses paid me a decent amount.
Like, for someone like you, (idk where you live) but if you put your name on the local paper/community place. charge what you think is fair. a lot of people are willing too budge.
Long story short. back in 2021, during the crypto rush. I bought some pretty cheap crypto coins or whatever. one of them I bought is now worth a pretty penny. If I can find a way to get back into my wallet. id be down to give you some to turn into actual money. help ya fund this.
That's really kind; if you ever are able to convert it to a more common currency and want to donate it through the LiberaPay, I'd certainly appreciate it but I don't want to take any money you might need, either.
I am nervous about our current financial situation, at the moment, but – at the end of the day – I am still a developer and, once I get a job, I expect it should make us financially stable, again (which is more than some can say); financially safe, at the very least.
