Also am I right in thinking that if they ever send me money it'll be by physical cheque? Physical cheque!? There doesn't seem to be any option to be paid differently.
@girlonthenet Feels so weird any time I get sent a cheque (which isn't terribly often, admittedly). It's like looking at the streetlights outside and seeing a lamp lighter tending to them.
@RolloTreadway@girlonthenet Some banks will allow you to deposit them by scanning them with their app! Absolute life-saver when I was staring at the archaic slip of paper that the tax man had posted to me when I was living in a different country & I was trying to figure out wtf to do with it.
I think that was the 3rd time in my life I've ever had to deal with a cheque... Except the first time I went to the US in 2009 & had to deal with travelers cheques. 🙄
@girlonthenet Where are they based? IIRC CCheques haven't really been a thing in the wild here in .no since the early 1990s or thereabouts. I suppose they are still technically valid but nobody ever uses them here.
