So the morning breakfast done and wandered through Atwater market shops to select bread, local sausage, cheeses, bread and paté and then took metro & walked to the St Lawrence river near Verdun to select a picnic & eclipse viewing spot.
@ottaross I am watching Mont Megantic live on https://www.eclipsequebec.ca/, replete with some hilarious guys up on the stage (& a huge crowd) who remind me of the aliens in Galaxy Quest, hahaha. This is so much fun.
@LillyHerself yes! It's a Montreal specialty, getting a little more rare in recent years. Spruce-flavoured soft drink 'spruce beer'. Very tasty and weird.
@Pkbwood glad yours was enjoyable too! It was more spectacular than I expected and has spawned rather deep thoughts about one's place in the universe. A truly memorable event.
