Came out to do chores this morning to find the livestock guardian dog blissfully napping on the compost pile. (He is supposed to sleep in the barn - he recently chewed through his metal cable lead, and last night he apparently learned how to open horse stall doors. Which would be fine, except we live near a busy road and he's not the brightest bulb.)
Had a really nice snowy walk in the woods with him yesterday. Maybe the last day of snowshowing! I'm so ready to be done with winter...
@sundogplanets Well he's mighty cute for a naughty boy.... but these sillies really don't know about the danger; it's up to us. Good on you for seeing that.
@sundogplanets Gotcha. Our other dog is def Anatolian shepherd. The new dog we were thinking could be husky/pug/shepherd with her coat type/coloration and rather grunty/snorty spazzy personality. She's prolly just a mix of a lot of things.
Overall though she looks like a 1/3 size version of your dog with a fluffy husky coat.
@sundogplanets We don't know for SURE what she is. The pug guess is based on coloration, personality traits, and her very triangular body shape when viewed from above, she's very broad shouldered and very narrow at the hips. She also snorts and grunts like a pug even though she doesn't have a bracheocephalic face. So I suspect she might have the elongated soft pallet of a pug.
But here she is in all her, "love me!" glory. She came from a very bad situation and is sooo happy to be with us.
