@iwein I've run everything from HDMI over dedicated Cat8 to OS2 fiber to vanilla ethernet throughout the house

There remain a handful of devices where the whole point is wirelessness, like Vision Pro, though, and the wireless performance matters for them!

@danilo Reducing TPO was probably a good idea. I've always wondered if wifi actually has any intelligence behind its selection of tx power level or if it all just screams at one fixed power level

Our fancy SaF Integra microwave radios at work can dynamically adjust it, and it GREATLY reduces issues if it can reduce tx power when needed - it seems to keep multipath from being as much of an issue on the link, not that it was a big deal unless the radio mounting structure was being shaken by wind

@vxo the AP itself had an “auto” setting but who knows how sophisticated that selection algorithm actually is

Any advice tracking down the source of intermittent troublemakers?
