I think it's worth talking about the fact that the Third Reich's war in Eastern Europe was in large part a Colonialist war, with #SettlerColonialism as an explicit goal.
Furthermore, such German settler Colonialist fantasies did not start with the Third Reich - they definitely existed by the time of the Second German Empire, where numerous texts compared the "Wild East" of Eastern Europe to the #WildWest of the USA (which was, of course, the most famous space for settler Colonialist fantasies).
