@willingc showed us how #Jupyter notebooks, #JupyterHub and #Binder empowers everyone with a learning mindset to be a beginner in anything.

I was pleasantly surprised to see a demo of #ECMWF and their charts page as an example of this (ofc, I knew about this, because if work, but wow)

@willingc showed a glimpse of Python's future. Adapting it's C API, adopting WASM, finding synergies with other languages like :rust: etc

[Why PyLadies are vital] It's clear that women are underrepresented in open source software overall. Figures reported by GitHub in 2020 show that 90% of all contributors to open source projects identify as male, while only around 3% identify as female. Insider 2021
