This is an amazing bit of work! Would you consider posting the retouched image(s) to archive.org, for posterity?

Your work will annoy some historical purists, but unlike colourised photos, you're not conjuring colours into existence.

What mechanism did you use to enhance the image? Some kind of ML interpolation?

@benklaasen Thanks. Good suggestion, I'll upload it to the Archive. I indeed used a mix of ESRGAN ML models for the upscale.

@metin Sure! This likely came from a photo session with Warhol during an interview for Amiga World magazine, January 1986. There’s several more photos in the article if you want to enhance more. They’re a great part of the history of early computer graphics.

@paulrickards Ah, yes, I remember that Warhol issue of Amiga World. Loved every Amiga World magazine. They reviewed my Amiga game Hoi in 1992. I was so proud. Great times. ❤
