Why don't you save your passwords in pgp encrypted files using gnupg then?

@mrestof How would I read them into those applications? They expect them to be stored in the files.

I know for sure, you can provide a command for password retreiving with OfflineIMAP (and isync, which I use). I bet there is a method for other tools as well, I just didn't use them. If you are interested in details, I suggest you check ArchWiki for each of those tools.

@mrestof Oh, if offlineimap can do that, it sounds promising.

I can fill issues with the other projects and point towards them then :)
