petersuber,

Early in the #pandemic, 50+ publishers committed to make #COVID-related articles #OpenAccess through #PubMedCentral that would not otherwise have been #OA. Many of these commitments are now expiring.
https://www.nlm.nih.gov/news/Access-Coronavirus-related-Articles-PubMed-Central.html

"Most of the articles…will remain available in #PMC and available for bulk distribution and reuse, and all citations will remain searchable in #PubMed; however, some publishers retained the right to remove their content and have requested to do so."

Hang on, about this bit: "Most of the articles deposited in the PMC COVID-19 Collection will remain available in PMC and available for bulk distribution and reuse, and all citations will remain searchable in PubMed"
There were at least a few emergency articles that were in PMC but not in PubMed. How do those fit in?
