@mackayim2022 While Mastodon hasn't absorbed all the attention migrating from Xitter, it is still improving in terms of feature sets (full text search is about to be implemented and #quoteposts are on the near term roadmap). It's good to know that there is a alternative future.
@mackayim2022 Agreed. Unfortunately some of these system wide changes in complex code bases takes time to get right while there are competing priorities like spam management and moderation features
@mackayim2022 It would be easier to do this if the model is a centralised application like Spoutible where you don’t have 9,000 separate servers run by different entities.
@mackayim2022 looks like full text search has been implemented. It’s opt in so you need to go to settings>public profile>Privacy and reach and tick this box to allow content to be included. Not all instances would have updated yet but eventually will.
